TIMER USE AND BREAKS: The blind timer will be a running clock usually 18 minutes but determined weekly. When the blinds timer expires, it shall be restarted immediately. The next hand will be dealt at the new blind level. For the purpose of this rule, a hand is considered currently in play once a card is dealt or blind is posted. Breaks will be at the discretion of the group and the timer will be stopped until play is started again.

SEATING:
INITAL SETUP: All In /Player Bounty chips will be randomly placed on the table in the players starting positions.

MULTI-TABLE MOVING: At the time a player is knocked out and the tables are out of balance, the vacated position will be filled by the same position from the heavy table.

FINAL TABLE: Prepare a deck of cards consisting of one card for each seat at each table and redraw for the final table seats.

PLAYERS LEAVING: If a player leaves the table for any reason and will return before 30 minutes are up, he can pay his blinds, be dealt a hand and fold and cannot win any hands. If a player must leave and will not return within 30 minutes a position will be assigned and all that players chips will be divided evenly among the remaining players. However if the player says he will return within 30 minutes and does not, the player will not receive a position and chips will be removed from play (There will be no refund of entry fee).

THE TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR: The Tournament Director is the person whose home the game is being played at. The Tournament Director is responsible for the handling of the timer although may delegate this task to any willing player at his discretion. In the case of disputes, the Tournament Director will have final authority. If the dispute directly involves the Tournament Director, a third-party will be appointed by the group to resolve the dispute. If more that one player lives at the game site one will be chosen before play begins.

MINIMUM BETS: The minimum bet will be the size of the small blind (this is a friendly game).

STRING BETTING: A string bet is a bet that is not done in one motion. You are only allowed one 'action' when the action is on you. If a bet is a string bet only the first action will be allowed.

PLAYER COLLUSION: Collusion is difficult to prove. JUST DON'T DO IT! Some common forms of collusion are:
  • Dumping chips: Deliberately losing to a partner.
  • Hand-mucking: Switching or altering hands. Two people sitting next to each other might try to switch hands or alter them in some way.
  • Signaling: Trading information between partners. Signals can take many forms, from the placement of the chips on the cards, to coughing, to Morse code tappings on the table.
  • Soft play: Failing to bet or raise in a situation that would normally merit it because of collusion with your opponent.
  • Whipsawing: Partners raise and reraise each other to trap players in between.

POKER CHIP COLOR-UP: The lowest denomination of chip in play will be removed from the table when it is no longer needed. All chips that can be colored up directly will be. The method for removal of odd chips is: A pot is created with the odd chips. Each player with odd chips in pot will then cut for high card. Winner take all.

MISDEALS: All cards will be mucked and a new deal will start. A misdeal occurs when:
  • A player who should have a hand didn't get one.
  • Two or more cards are exposed.
  • A non-correctable dealing error occured.
If one card is exposed through dealer error before the flop that card must be replaced with the first burn card. Once action begins, a misdeal cannot be called. Action is considered to occur when two players after the blinds have acted on their hands.

CARD SPEAK: Cards read for themselfs. Any player who sees an incorrect amount of chips put into the pot, or an error about to be made in awarding a pot, has an obligation to point out the error.

SHOW ONE SHOW ALL: Any cards seen inadvertently by an active player must be immediately shown to all other active players so everyone is on equal footing.

PLAYING ANOTHERS HAND: A player may pay the blinds and fold for others that is all. Replacement players are not allowed. See players leaving for more details.

BETTING AND RAISING: A verbal statement denotes your action and is binding. Rapping the table with your hand is a passr. If action skips you, to retain the right to act, a player must stop the action by calling 'time' (or an equivalent word). Failure to stop the action before three or more players have acted behind you may cause you to lose the right to act. A player who bets or calls by releasing chips into the pot is bound by that action. However, if you are unaware that the pot has been raised, you may withdraw that money and reconsider your action, provided that no one else has acted after you.

SPILLING ON THE POKER TABLE:  If you spill on the poker table there is a $1 fine for the eventual poker table cloth replacement. If you spill on the table put a buck in the cup!

    IRREGULARITIES:
  • If it is discovered that the button was placed incorrectly on the previous hand, the button and blinds will be corrected for the new hand in a manner that gives every player one chance for each position on the round (if possible).
  • You must protect your own hand at all times. Your cards may be protected with your hands, a chip, or other object placed on top of them. If you fail to protect your hand, you will have no redress if it becomes fouled or the dealer accidentally kills it.
  • If a card with a different color back appears during a hand, all action is void and all chips in the pot are returned to the respective bettors. If a card with a different color back is discovered in the stub, all action stands.
  • If two cards of the same rank and suit are found, all action is void, and all chips in the pot are returned to the players who wagered them.
  • A player who knows the deck is defective has an obligation to point this out. If not the player may lose the right to a refund, and the chips may be required to stay in the pot for the next deal.
  • One or more cards missing from the deck does not invalidate the results of a hand.
  • If you drop a card on the floor out of your hand, you must still play that card.
  • If the dealer fails to burn a card or burns more than one card the error should be corrected if discovered before betting action is taken. Once action has been taken the board card stands.
  • If the dealer prematurely deals any cards before the betting is complete ... I dont know the group should decide this.

    OTHER THINGS NOT TO DO:
  • Deliberately act out of turn.
  • Agree to check a hand out when a third player is all-in.
  • Reveal a live hand to anyone else before the betting is complete.
  • Reveal the contents of a folded hand to an active player before the betting is complete.
  • Needlessly stall the action of a game.
  • Deliberately discard hand at another player's (or dealer's) hand.
  • Stack chips in a manner that interferes with dealing or viewing cards.
  • Remove cards from table or hide cards from view.
  • Give or Get advice on how to play a hand.
  • Remove chips from table.
  • Deliberately misstate chip or bet amounts.
  • Use a cell phone at the table.
  • Give/Receive chips to/from another player.
  • Make statements or take action that could unfairly influence the course of play, whether or not the offender is involved in the pot.
